One of the beautiful things about watching the talent of others is the way some people have the ability to take something ordinary and make it extraordinary. A violin in my hands…ummm no…..bad idea… but a violin in the hands of a skilled virtuoso…a beautiful song full of carefully crafted violin weeps and a series of dancing glissandos up and down the musical scale. I never ceased to be amazing how on these cooking challenge shows the contestants can take a box of random vegetables and meat and spices and with little to no instructions or recipe books at their disposal…the skilled chef can flex his or her culinary muscle and create a beautiful masterpiece on a plate. I love how you can take an ordinary thing like walking around a park or shopping at Costco which can be pretty anti climatic places and turn them into places of fun and adventure simply because you are there with someone you are passionately in love with. Being any place with someone you love or people you love can instantly turn it from ordinary to extraordinary.
